Volunteers put in more than 3,500 hours in 2019. Much of that time was spent in stewardship work parties on the land; in some cases volunteers—not staff—led stewardship events. But most of of those volunteer hours didn’t involve weeding or planting. Volunteers managed databases, staffed events, provided leadership through board and committee work, and performed other tasks essential to our operations. The personal commitment and enthusiastic engagement of our volunteers is key to NCLC’s success as a community-based land conservancy. Learn about volunteering for NCLC.
Thank you to all of our 2019 volunteers.
